My interest in magic tricks started when I was a teenager in school. Being tall, and shy I did not fit in with other social groups. One day I wondered into a store that sold magic tricks. The store keeper was performing magic tricks for several customers . I could not believe what I saw. I was immediately fascinated and bought a inexpensive trick. At home I practiced the trick over and over until I had the moves perfect enough to show my parents, The unbelieving look on their faces and words of encouragement reinforced my desire to learn more about the art of magic. During t,he past fifty years, , magic performances have played a large part of my life. I entertain people wherever I go. Occasionally I stop people on the street, to do tricks. I perform in restaurants, at parties, on cruise ships...My performances bring a little sunshine into the lives of so many people and the interaction with others has boosted my self confidence and shyness. As a teacher, I believe learning is accomplished through sight , touch and practice. I demonstrate to students how a trick is properly performed for the audience. Then the secret is revealed and instruction on how to secure it from the viewer is explained.... .The student performs the trick and is helped with suggestions and ideas to assist with the performance and misdirection .
