Teaching since:
June 2006

I was inspired to play the violin after seeing the local middle school orchestra perform when I was 8 years old. Since beginning group violin lessons the following school year, I have been consistently involved in developing my passion for and involvement in music in versatile ways -participating in many classical orchestras and ensembles, interning at 91X radio station during college,
and performing as a session musician and live string performer in the San Diego music scene.

In 2010, I graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Music and a minor in Pre-Therapeutic Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University. In addition to teaching lessons, I play for weddings, parties, and other events, and can be found rocking out on stage in acoustic world punk band QUEL BORDEL!

I teach from more traditional methods and use my personal history to provide a well-rounded learning experience. I enjoy sharing the beauty and creativity of classical music, Irish/world music, hymns/religious pieces, as well as contemporary songs.

My approach to teaching is very holistic, helping to create for each of student a solid foundation of music theory, history, note-reading, and technique while also exposing them to a variety of pieces and genres so they can be better prepared to explore what most interests them.

Ms Regina encourages my son to reach new goals, and has really helped him stay focused on and refine his basic skills. I've seen a lot of improvement with her direction.

Regina teaches wonderfully. My eight year old new to music daughter loves her lessons with Regina. And, is eager to practice the lessons assigned each week. Regina is a positive influence in my daughter's life. And, that is what this father is always striving to provide her. Thank you, Regina

Charismatic teacher

My daughter is 6-years old and is taking viola lessons with Regina for some weeks now. My daughter finds the class interesting and she is enthusiastic with her progress. The instructor is charismatic, dynamic and didactic.
