Have fun singing confidently learning from an expert teacher with 30+ years experience

Joy opens the heart and mind for quick learning and application. I laugh with my students, (ages 7 to 77) continually and that makes growing and learning even more involved concepts naturally achievable. Your singing will not only make a positive change in your life but in the lives around you. With proper breath control, vocal placement and dynamic expression, you will love the way you sound in a matter of weeks, not months. I will help you with upcoming performances, auditions, solos, drama plays. You will also develop your musicianship being able to communicate musically with accompanists and/or bands. Let's get the fun times rolling along. No time to lose when music and laughter is on your horizon. 10 Things your Voice Teacher wants you to know about Singing Lessons 1. I'm not interested in changing your "sound". Every singer has a unique sound because your head, sinus and complete vocal cavity are like a fingerprint to you - and no one else. I want to help you DISCOVER your entire voice, develop it and learn to care for it. 2. Make a commitment. If you want to see results, you need to commit to lessons for at least 6 months. Taking only a couple of lessons with any teacher will leave you confused and frustrated. Change and improvement take time. There are no shortcuts. (What benefit would going to 3 weight loss classes be? Would your body change in only 3 sessions?) 3. Perform. Have an outlet to use and hone your new skills. Join a choir, sing at church or perform karaoke with friends. Without performance related goals you have absolutely no reason to practice. Your progress will be slow and you will soon quit lessons. 4. Technique is never perfected. EVER. Even for professional vocalists. There will always be small corrections to make which help you sing and perform better. Explore your sound and your vocal ability with an open mind. 5. You want correction. (See #4) Correction does not mean you are a bad singer. If you are serious about being a great singer, you want your voice teacher to offer as much correction as possible. Do not leave your lesson without something new and challenging to work on. Explore your sound and your vocal ability with an open mind. 6. We NEED to make mistakes. The notes you can't sing very well. The phrase's melody range that you struggle with. When we can identify the weaknesses, we can work on them effectively. 7. You need to sing out without hesitation. We need to hear ALL of your voice. This includes the bad notes and sounds that make you uncomfortable. When you can sing out without fearing mistakes, your vocal lessons will get interesting (and effective.) 8. Challenge yourself. Singing only songs you like is fun in the beginning. Try singing something completely out of your comfort zone. That is how you grow, improve and learn. 9. Make Peace with Your Voice. If you honestly speak negative words over yourself continually like "I hate the sound of my voice...", and you don't want to catch yourself and stop the negative speaking habit, don't bother with lessons. I won't be able to help you. (See #4, #5, #6, #7) 10. I want to WORK WITH You - not against you. Trust that I am trying to help you as best I know how. Are you willing to work with me? Will you listen to me and apply the suggestions I am offering? Are you ready for singing lessons?

    About Rebecca A.

I started piano lessons at age 9 and recorded a '45 at age 11 and my first album at age 12. From there I recorded 2 more albums and then recordings evolved into cassettes, CDs and finally MP3s. I love the ease of recording a quick summation of a song idea, melody line and/or lyrics as an MP3 onto a USB and come back later to create the masterpiece. Technology today affords a greater advantage for young and older students. During my course of history in music I've composed songs, performed before crowds ranging in attendance of 15 to 5000. I've also had solo drama parts in musicals. I remember once, my lapel mic battery died and I had to project to the back of the balcony to be heard over a pit orchestra in a 1500 seat auditorium. Training in vocal projection afforded me success in that moment with no time to panic. From there I traveled around the United States and overseas to England, Ireland, Germany, Russia, India and Peru. I love spending time with all people and getting to know their hearts and love for music. Today, I teach private students 3 days per week online and in person. I have classroom experience teaching ages Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st - 6th grade music at a local private school where I casted and presented an "all school" musical. It was exciting for all! Now we need to get your fun rolling along swiftly. Voice students will become confident as we discover your unique sound from your chest voice, head voice and, of course, the "mix". Fall in love with your sound in a matter of weeks, not years. Joyful vocal games, ear training, music literacy (theory training) and endless repertoires in our times together that will have you laughing and learning simultaneously. Don't delay. Sign Up TODAY! Piano students of all ages will not believe how quickly the lessons go, much less the amount of learning they are doing through music games and activities. Let's get your music reading skills, composing, recording, playing by ear, by touch and with great expression going. Not a minute to waste. Your music will impact the future of our world.
