It was my first lesson and the session was only 30 minutes so it met my expectations. I should have taken an hour because 30 minutes isn't long enough for a first lesson. Rachel is a good instructor so far.

Rachel seems very nice. However, I wish she had updated her schedule on the takelessons.com website to clarify the numerous dates that she is unavailable. We chose a start date, but then she emailed me to say that she could not teach for the next two weeks due to a conflict with her realtor position. We had even exchanged emails prior to my signing up, and that would have been an ideal time for her to have clarified her being completely unavailable for the next two weeks. To be honest, I got the impression that teaching music is just a side job for Rachel rather than her true passion.

Rachel is my second instructor, after not feeling great about the first one I was hesitant. She is very knowledgeable and makes you feel great about any accomplishment or efforts you've made between lessons. amd of course she's very fun and positive!
