Hey there! I’m Rachael and I LOVE teaching music. I have been playing the violin and piano for two decades now and teaching for almost as long. I attended the University of Georgia and earned my Bachelor’s degree in music education in 2011. I have taught general music, middle and high school orchestra, and have most recently focused my attention on teaching private lessons. I really enjoy one on one time with my students. It allows me to figure out the best and most effective way to help YOU! I generally teach from a set curriculum for violin and piano but I am open to incorporating music that you may want to learn. I like to keep my lessons light and fun so expect to hear some bad jokes and share a few laughs. You get out of lessons what you put into them. Practice outside of lessons is a must to keep things rolling along. I hope to connect with you soon!Show More
Over the years I have taught lessons for violin, viola, cello, and piano. I feel like I am able to give my best as a teacher when focusing on violin and piano alone. All levels of violin accepted and beginning to intermediate for piano.
I taught on and off at Sola Fide Academy for a few years. I organized a String Project where I taught group lessons for violin and cello and I also taught general music.
I taught high school orchestra to a group of 250+ students split up throughout the day. We focused on sectionals for each string instrument as well as learning to make music together in a meaningful and beautiful way.
I was responsible for teaching and rehearsing the junior orchestra that consisted of 2-5 graders.
