I am currently pursuing Doctor of Musical Art (DMA) degree at Rutgers University, studying under Jonathan Sptiz, who is the principal cellist of the New Jersey Symphony. I also received both Master of Cello Performance degree and Professional Studies Post-Master’s Certificate in cello from Temple University, studying under Jeffery Solow. While pursuing my degrees from Temple, I performed with the TU Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, Early Music Ensemble, and New Music Ensemble and studied Lower Strings Pedagogy with Jeffrey Solow.
During my first academic year at Rutgers pursuing her DMA, I have performed with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra throughout the northern New Jersey area. In addition, I am a Suzuki instructor and have studied the Suzuki method with Beth Goldstein-McKee. I was also a Suzuki cello instructor in a private school in the Philadelphia area.
Being a passionate and energetic teacher, I teach a wide variety of students, ranging from young kids to adults, and as small as individual lessons to large group classes in both Taiwan and Eastern Pennsylvania. Before pursuing my Doctoral degree, I was a cello instructor of several music institutes, and I also was a general music class teacher of a high school in my home country, Taiwan. I am a strong believer that “Every child has the possibilities to be a great musician.” I pride myself in promoting not just the proper way to master cello performance, but more importantly, helping the students develop a love and passion for music.

Ms. W was the most dedicated and patient teacher. Each lesson, I could sense her love for music from the way she described the image of a sunrise from the 2nd movt. of the Saint-Saens cello concerto. Her attention to detail and professionalism greatly improved my cello performance.
Before taking lessons with Ms. W, I was with another teacher for 8 years, but I felt that I wasn't improving. Once I started learning of Ms. W, I improved dramatically. She emphasized the importance of a strong foundation, like sound quality and intonation.
With Ms. W, I was accepted into the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, then named Associate Principal Cellist. Ms. Wang was also the driving force behind my qualification for the PMEA District 12 and Region 6 orchestra. Soon after, she prepared me for my college audition recordings to several colleges and Yale University, which is where I am today.
Ms. W is an incredibly lovely and talented teacher. I was so lucky to have her and am excited for all her future students!

Having to be Ms. Queenie's student for almost three years, I have the confidence to say that she is one of the best music teachers I have ever had in my music career. Being a Music Major at Temple University myself, I have had many music teachers, and Ms. Queenie is the only teacher that I am still taking lessons with!
During classes, Ms. Queenie will always make sure that you feel comfortable and safe before teaching. She really cares about her students! Even with COVID close down, Ms. Queenie was able to transition into online teaching professionally and innovatively.
Another thing is that Queenie is actually my second cello teacher. When I first started, she was really patient and taught me almost from the beginning. LASTLY, She is going to be Dr. Queenie soon, so hurry before the price doubles up!

They need a temporary instructor to teach for Spring Semester and Summer Session. I taught 4 classes with 50 students in a class. One of classes wanted to learn a song on piano, so I helped 50 students to learn a song they like on the paper piano. Then, each of students take turns to play on the Only piano that the music room had. It went really well, so It was an unforgettable experience to me. As long as students eager to learn, there is always a way to help them!
