Hey, I'm Perri! I want to help you build a solid foundation for your sound so you can take your singing to the next level. I'm all about technique - if you have a strong foundation, you can sing anything you want. I am a classically trained mezzo-soprano, but this type of technique can be applied to any type of singing, be it jazz, country, or pop. My priority is making sure you're using your instrument in the healthiest, most efficient way possible. 

Whether you're a beginner just dipping your toes into singing, or an experienced singer who would like to hone your craft, I'm here to help. 

I was trained in the classic, old school, "Italianate" method of singing, focusing on appoggio and chiaroscuro. We will work on your breathing technique, opening your sound, and connecting your vocal registers so your voice sounds seamless and even. This is great for people who have ease and confidence in one part of their voice, but difficulty accessing other parts (usually either the high range or the low range). 

A little about me: as I mentioned, I'm a mezzo-soprano. I got my B.M. in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory, and graduated from Mannes with my masters this past spring. I have performed all over the world: Salzburg, LA, Miami, Aspen, Florence... I made my Carnegie Hall debut last January and will be making my Lincoln Center debut at Alice Tully Hall this March. I hope to hear from you!

I'm a professional opera singer in New York! I've performed around the world, and made my Carnegie Hall debut last year. I'm a mezzo soprano, and I love singing pants roles (male characters played by women). I took vocal pedagogy in my undergrad and am obsessed with technique. 

I strive to provide my students with the tools to build a solid foundation. If you have that, you can apply it to anything you sing.
