Simply put, Paulo is an outstanding instructor. He himself is so driven and is constantly working to improve his musicality, which directly translates to his excellent teaching! Learning with Paulo is a great step for younger musicians especially. He dedicates a lot of time and detail into ensuring the students are developing correct playing technique and aids them in exploring a variety of repertoire! Always great things coming from Paulo.

Paulo is a well rounded person who has a phenomenal passion for music and a gift for making friends and helping others. Paulo is energetic as well as patient and has a knack for personalizing the lessons to fit the students in order for them to grow musically. The ideas that Paulo offers help the student break out of the “learning boredom” and think logically beyond what they are use to doing in a school program. Paulo is professional, punctual and experienced. He brings fresh, new ideas that are fun and that bring positive attention to the art of the violinist. I would definitely recommend Paulo for any level of learning, and of any age. If you are in need of refresher lessons or your child is starting from scratch, Paulo undoubtedly can bring an exciting ease to learning the violin while teaching good, professional skills that have been proven a success.

So, Paulo was my first lessons teacher and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better. He taught me most of the basics and helped me create a strong foundation to improve upon: relaxed bow hand/arm, vibrato, positions, 3-octave scales, some sight reading, expressiveness. (sprinkle in some music theory) He taught all this while being patient and pushing me to be my best. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone who is considering.
