I teach classical guitar with skills like reading music, scale studies, chords, and learning music that was composed by famous guitar composers from the classical eras. I like a disciplined approach, but we should be having a little fun, too. I have a lifetime of music experience. My mother was a piano teacher, my grandmother was a piano teacher, and my aunt was a piano teacher; do you think I had piano lessons? Well, yes. But as I got older; I'd chosen the guitar as my primary instrument. During my life, I have performed classical, jazz, country, and rock and roll. My focus for the last decade has been on classical composers like Matteo Carcassi, Fernando Sor, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Mauro Giuliani. I also have a collection of works that I have composed, following in the footsteps of my favorite composers. I earned a degree from Everett Community College in 2012 and continued studies with private teachers beyond the degree. I am a seasoned performer; and have toured the northwest region of the United States and Canada for musical performances.
