I taught private flute lessons and beginner piano lessons. I focused on scales, etudes and pieces. I would accompany my flute/piano students to help them understand the harmony and what is going on rhythmically.

Flute Teacher

I taught private flute lessons at various levels of students. Beginners and advanced students ranging from elementary to high school students. I would try to challenge them to audition for region band auditions focusing on sight reading, scales, technique and the required pieces such as Mozart or Hindemith.

Want to have fun in your flute lessons? What are you favorite songs! I will accompany you to your favorite tune whether it be "Be Our Guest" from the movie beauty and the beast. I will send you an accompaniment track so that you can play with the melody. We will talk about playing chords and understanding how the melody works together as a unit.
I have been teaching flute lessons since 2017. I primarily focus on using different devices to help you improve your tone, articulation, double tonguing. Some of the devices I use are the breathing bags, chop sticks or buzzing. I am a classically trained flutist and received my BM & MM in classical flute performance at Mason Gross School of the Arts. I have traveled and participated in different music festivals in the United States and Europe.

Patricia A. has completed her Masters’ Degree in flute performance at Mason Gross School of the Arts under the instruction of Mr. Bart Feller. A life-long resident of Rockaway Township, New Jersey she began private flute lessons at the age of 11, actively involved in the Rockaway Township Music Program. After attending County College of Morris, she attended Rutgers University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in classical flute performance. As the winner of the NJ Flute Society Competition in May 2017: she was the guest artist with the Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra performing the Mozart Concerto in G Major at Drew University. Patricia was flute faculty at Most Music School in Metuchen NJ and also teaches privately in Northern and Edison NJ.
