Hello, my name's Olivia! I'm excited to work with flutists of all levels to achieve their goals, find their voices, and have fun with music. Lessons with me are always individually tailored to each student's needs and objectives, combined with enough structure to excel in their studies.

Our lessons will include detailed help with: breathing, sound quality, note reading, music theory, ear training, improvisation, practice routines, that most elusive "musicality", and more! We'll use a variety of exercises, etudes, and duets to build a solid foundation and help you become the best musician you can be.

As a classical musician, I've been performing for 17 years, studying both American and French styles of orchestral woodwind performance, but I originally got my start playing hymns in church. As a professional freelancer in Milwaukee, WI, I regularly play commercial pop, rock, Americana, jazz, and showtunes both for local productions and on the road.

I'm a professional woodwinds artist in Milwaukee, WI. I perform regularly with several bands, a quintet, regional orchestras and jazz bands, and many of the musical theater companies in the area. My versatility & experience with a huge variety of musical styles helps make lessons fun and effective for each and every student.
I enjoy teaching flute and piccolo, clarinet and saxophone, piano (beginner only), and music theory. Some genres I regularly teach include Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, and Folk. Whatever the student's goals and interests are, all of my teaching is grounded in solid instrumental technique combined with lots of listening and creative exploration.
