I focus on helping intermediate and advanced players get to the next level but beginners are also welcome! We will definitely learn songs and solos! But in order to truly progress on the instrument and become an amazing musician, we must also focus on building strong technique and musical fundamentals! Here’s a sample list of what I can teach you: - building technique (speed, accuracy, dexterity) - developing guitar techniques (slides, hammer ons, tapping, bends, whammy bar) - transcribing songs and solos - leveling up your improvised solos! - how to use theory to make cool riffs, guitar parts and more interesting solos - building a diverse chord library - ear training (playing the melodies and chords you hear in songs) - be able to use your entire fretboard - learning to read (both tab and traditional music notation) Feel free to message me at any time if you have any questions! I graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelors degree in Jazz composition. When I first started playing the guitar I loved 80’s and classic rock! Towards the end of middle school I discovered Jazz and fell in love with it and have been playing and studying it ever since! I’ve been a teacher for 9 years and love my job! Trust me, we’ll have a lot of fun learning whatever genre you’d like! We’ll listen to songs, learn them by ear and dissect them if you’d like, so you can learn how to write your own songs!
