Expand your Creativity through Piano with a 5-star Reviewed Teacher

Music communicates the ineffable. Let me show you how to expand your expression through your piano. You can tell your stories, share your dreams, reclaim your desires and alchemize your emotions through music. Creativity is your birthright. Call the artist within you out to play piano and improve your cognitive function. Neuroscientists have found that playing a musical instrument is the only activity that engages four cortices of the brain. This unique phenomenon is a whole-brain workout. Musicians are athletes of the mind and the small muscles. We will practice holistic bodywork and breathwork, as part of our training, to regulate the nervous system, improve vagal tone, and shift our biochemistry to enhance our overall wellbeing. We will learn isometric exercises to strengthen the muscles and develop kinaesthetic awareness. Playing scales, arpeggios and etudes will develop our technique and help us deepen our understanding of music theory. Applying our skills to learn a varied repertoire of your choice will help you become equally proficient at playing with sheet music and improvising by ear. Strengthen your self-trust and nourish your inner worth in a safe space dedicated to helping you grow through music.

    About Nicole O.

"To play wrong notes is insignificant. To play without passion is inexcusable." - Beethoven I was five years old when I discovered my singing voice. My curiosity soon blossomed into a passion for music through voice, piano, violin and guitar. My mission is to share the gifts that have enriched my life by nurturing my students' desires to express themselves through music. As a teacher, I focus equally on formal technique and artistic expression. Techniques used during lessons are designed to develop a holistic understanding of music through aural, visual, and tactile cues. Progress is evaluated by developing a set of goals specific to each student. I find that allowing students input in originating goals facilitates a cooperative learning ent and allows me to tailor lessons to each student. Through consistent practice, students will benefit from discipline, patience, creativity and self-esteem. For the duration of our lesson, my students are in a nurturing zone of free expression.

Nicole is a wonderfully paintent young lady that is highly skilled with the guitar. Her ability to tgo from teaching basic skills to working on a complicated song are simply amazing. I chose wisely by picking her, and you won't regret picking her as your teacher either.
