Uwharrie Duo

The Uwharrie Duo formed in 2020 to offer a blend of traditional and contemporary chamber music performances and educational artistic-development workshops to residents of Stanly County and surrounding communities through recitals, lectures, and masterclasses. Its members include saxophonist Nick and pianist Zoey Brouthers. Nick and Zoey both currently serve on the faculty of Pfeiffer University located in Misenheimer, North Carolina.

Rowan Big Band All Stars

An American honor society for undergraduate students, graduate students, and professors of music. There are currently 205 active chapters and approximately 64,500 individual members.

The North American Saxophone Alliance is an organization made up of individuals who share a common interest in the saxophone. Members include professional performers, university professors, public school teachers, students of all levels, and others who have an interest in the saxophone. In addition to the Alliance's emphasis on disseminating information concerning the saxophone, the organization also works to provide opportunities for its members to make music, fostering fellowship among saxophone enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.

The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.
