About Nick A.
I am a multi-instrumentalist from Queens, NYC, and I was the cellist/guitarist for the first national tour of the hit broadway show "Waitress".
I trained as a classical cellist at the Aaron Copland School of Music, and I am a lifelong guitarist. Before starting my broadway career, I worked as a freelance cellist, playing with numerous orchestras around NYC, in addition to teaching many students in the Queens/Nassau County area.
I also performed in a 30 city national tour the with the Post-Rock band "You Bred Raptors?". As a guitarist, I was sitting in with a professional band by the time I was just 14, and would later to go to play many clubs around NYC, such as the Bitter End and Bowery Electric, with my own projects.
Since the 'Waitress' tour, I have been freelancing in NYC as a professional musician and teaching music at the Larchmont Music Academy in Westchester.

I so appreciated my first Lesson with Nick! We had planned to meet in person, but because of the current quarantine had to have class online - and it was wonderful! He was encouraging and clear and was able to diagnose some of my bad habits and give me ways to get past them. He also generously shared resources and repertoire. I'm much looking forward to continuing with him - just what I needed both musically and to keep my spirits up!

Nick is calm, encouraging, and clear. I feel capable!

Great first lessons. I have 2 boys, each learning a different instrument (violin & guitar), and Nick was great with them. Looking forward to the future lessons.

Nick is really the best instructor ever! He is very knowledgeable about different styles and techniques, but he tailors each lesson so that the student is learning on their own terms - not pushing a methodology or using cookie cutter plans. He is very patient and kind and will work with you at your own pace, whether you are a beginner or want to learn on a more professional level. He plays a ton of different instruments and has experience touring with bands as well as classical training. He's really a one-stop-shop for all your musical needs! Hire him! He's made my life a lot better by teaching me his ways.

I took lessons with Nick for a little over 2 years and couldn't have more wonderful things to say about him. Nick is patient while also pushing and guiding his students to achieve whatever their musical goals are. I developed as a cellist and as a musician with Nick and can't recommend him enough.

My son came home from his first violin lesson with a huge smile-very excitedly showed me what he learned
Nick was a great choice!

He is very patient with my son. He is very professional. Definitely recommend!
