My name is Nick, and I am here to help you achieve your musical goals.
Want to walk some tasty jazz bass lines? Great. Want to learn more songs on your guitar, upload them and get youtube famous? Sounds awesome. Want to identify intervals, chords and progressions on the fly? I'm your guy!
I'm fluent in jazz, rock, funk, pop, and classical styles (for proof, please visit my website or facebook page) - I can teach students of all ages and levels on electric bass, upright bass, and guitar (as long as you have a passion and willingness to learn!)
Should you choose to take lessons with me, I will craft an individualized lesson plan with an emphasis on building a strong musical foundation so you can eventually learn to learn on your own.
I'm looking forward to helping you along on your musical journey. Thanks for reading this far, and see you soon!
Every Thursday, I make my way up Crescendo Music in Darien, CT to teach lessons to my Connecticut based students. I've taught piano, bass, guitar and even banjo to students of all ages!
Was the assistant bass instructor and administrative intern for the Stamford Summer Jazz Workshop, featuring some of the area's most premier jazz musicians as instructors - Joyce Dicamillo, John Mastroianni, Tony Kadleck, Joe Coen, Chip Jackson just to name a few
If you have a heart attack from all the sick licks you'll be playing in our lesson - I've learned the skills to revive you
· Bass Guitar · In studio Nick was great! Really fun and helpful
· Guitar · In home I started to take guitar lessons with Nick after I realised how boring retirement can be. I used to be a pro in my highschool band, but those days are long behind me and I hadn't practiced in years.
Nick was extremely helpful and patient, and after only a few lessons he helped me find the talent I had forgotten about. He coached me through everything from classical to heavy metal, and even taught me how to do an awesome power slide!
Now I really feel like a rock god again! Thanks Nick!
· Upright Bass · In home It was my mom's idea for me to try and learn upright bass, and frankly I thought it was a pretty dumb one. It never seemed to me like one of those instruments somebody could just pick up and learn, like piano or guitar or the harp.
But here I am, 6 months later, and I'm already playing with a jazz band at my school. Nick made the whole experience way less daunting than I ever could've imagined, and now not only am I musician, but I'm a rare commodity! I'm not just another guitarist or drummer lost in a sea of fellows.
Thanks so much Nick! Rock on man!
