Hello! My name is Nate. I'm an International relations and Psychology student at Drew with a serious case of the travel bug. When I'm not in class I captain the mens fencing team, and I am President of the Drew Israel Student Association. I am super passionate about teaching. It's so important to have a one-on-one environment where students can get the help they need to succeed. Lessons can be mundane and clinical, so I like to make piano come alive! I specialize in taking complex subjects and breaking them down so even the toughest learners get the tools they need to succeed. I've been playing piano for 13 years, and was taught by my grandfather from an early age. He was a self taught musician and instead of traditional methods, he taught me the theory behind the music, what he called, "the laws which govern notes. " Shortly after my grandfather died I started recieving formal training. But even through scales and lessons, I never forgot the piano my grandfather taught me, and would consider it an honor to pass my grandfather's "piano playbook" on to another.
