I am a flutist and music teacher new to the state of New Hampshire. I received a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and Music Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2012 and a Master of Music in Flute Performance in 2015. I have experience performing in orchestras, wind ensembles, wind quintets, as well as solo music. I have appeared as a concerto soloist with the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra and the Five College Early Music Program’s Euridice Baroque Orchestra, and I have attended the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin College. My numerous years of experience as a performer and education background inform my philosophy as a music teacher. I recently finished a second Master’s Degree in Historical Performance as a recipient of the Conservatory Dean Scholarship from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. There I learned to play many types of flutes, including the Renaissance flute, Baroque flute, Classical flute, and recorder. I am interested in the history of the flute, and learning to play new instruments is always an exciting challenge. I encourage my students to develop their physical skills as musicians, and also explore their own passions. Though my recent area of study has been historical music, I also have significant experience in more recent music as well. I look forward to becoming your teacher!
