I have been teaching for 7 years, and I enjoy helping my students be the best they can be! I help my students find their areas of interest, and then we are able to focus on those areas. I also put an emphasis on learning basic theory. I have a variety of excellent books that I will recommend, but we can also work with some of the books that the student may already own.

I got married in October 2019, and now my husband and I work at a private Christian academy in Sanford, ME. I enjoy playing piano and singing in my free time, and I love working with kids and sharing my love of music.

My 7 year old daughter loves being able to take lessons from Monica through FaceTime! She has progressed really well in just a couple of months of doing lessons and is choosing to practice on her own. She has developed a joy for hymns and classical pieces. Monica works wonderfully with her and makes sure she understands what she needs to work on for her next lesson and always makes sure she doesn’t have any questions. Monica encourages her to do her best and push herself.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Monica for about 5 years. Monica started out teaching lessons to her at our home and now my daughter is currently taking lessons online. Monica is a wonderful teacher. Her patient attitude puts her students at ease. The convenience of taking online lessons works well for our schedule. I don't have to drive my daughter anywhere. It doesn't matter what the weather is, lesson doesn't have to be canceled. This has been a wonderful experience for us and we highly recommend Monica as a piano teacher.
