I have taught private piano lessons to all ages and levels for more than forty years. I prefer to teach in my home and in certain situations I teach in students' homes. If I teach in a student's home, there must be a piano or keyboard on the first floor of the home. For lessons in your home, you will need to pay an additional fee for my travel expenses. I teach sightreading, rhythm, musical expression, technique and music theory. The student will need either a piano or keyboard available for practicing between lessons. Titles of method books to be purchased will be given to the parent at the first lesson. If a student has books that were used with a previous teacher, I will consider continuing in those books if they are the appropriate level for the student. I enjoy sharing my love of music with my students. I am a patient teacher and I consider the individuality and goals of each student. I was a church organist and accompanist for many years.
