Bass Guitar with Mirco M.

I am a bass and upright bass player and musical arranger from Bologna, Italy and currently live in Alameda, California. I began studying bass guitar at the age of fourteen in Imola, Italy with renowned teacher Pierluigi Mingotti. I have played in many tribute, cover, and local rock bands and have advanced degrees from Italy’s Classical Music Conservatory “Bruno Maderna”. I am a multi-faceted, multi-instrumental musician who has has collaborated as a musician and arranger in the studio with various Italian bands and songwriters. I divide my time between playing live and in the studio as well as teaching bass guitar and double bass and composing original music. I taught bass guitar and upright bass at Music Action in Imola from 2006 to 2017 and at the Music Academy of Faenza from 2008 to 2017. I have also planned and taught music classes in elementary and middle schools as well as at summer programs. I love teaching bass lessons and my lessons include a comprehensive set of skills that will get you playing and improving immediately. After 10 years of experience teaching bass, as soon as I meet you I'll know exactly what you need to get started and/or get better! I can teach a wide array of skills such as tap and slap as well as any genre of music you're interested in. I have an infinite amount of materials and will always be perfectly prepared for your lessons. I love teaching children and most of my students have been 10-20 years old. I will make lessons fun and you will absorb my passion for music! I also have a lot of experience in more technical aspects such as solfeggio, music theory, harmony, composition, etc: I am a well-rounded musician that can help you further any knowledge you like!
