    About Mike M.

I teach students of many different skill levels and ages! I love helping people learn music they are excited to play, and joining them in meeting their goals. As a pianist, I have travelled throughout the United States, performing both as a soloist and in collaboration with other artists. Some of my favorite music to play (and teach!) is music written by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel. I also enjoy teaching more contemporary music, including pop, rock, blues, and music from movie or video game soundtracks. My education includes a bachelor of music degree from Wheaton College, Master of music from Roosevelt University, and Doctorate of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (in progress).
