Want to learn how to play or sing your favorite song? Are you interested in learning how to write your own songs? Since the start of my teaching career 4 years ago, my lessons have expanded to include guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, drums, singing, and even songwriting! I'm eager to help you find exactly what you want to learn while finding your own voice along the way. Besides teaching I have 7 years of experience as a professional musician, so learning instrument's or composing my own songs to be able to play for others is a passion of mine! I've played numerous festivals with my band and as a solo act, traveling to cities in the Midwest and "touring" is one of my favorite ways to connect with music lovers. Everything from beginner to performer, I will show you what I know about how to play an instrument, sing, crafting your own songwriting skills, recording, as well as performing on stage and the best way to talk to an audience and keep people engaged. My lessons are modeled to be more hands-on, letting the student decide their curriculum and direction of learning. In 2016 I took my first teaching opportunity at KC Music in Parkville, MO teaching a band of 5 through a program called “ROCK-U” how to play classic rock with a performance every 4 quarters. I also worked with a few beginner vocal students through performances with ROCK-U. Over the years I helped establish and host recitals for every student that took lessons at the store. By the end of my time with KC Music, I was the most highly-requested teacher on staff and had a full schedule with 30+ students. In February of 2019, I left KC Music and started implementing my own strategies for private lessons.
