I have been playing guitar for 9 years, and I have been working with children for close to 9 years also.Two years ago, I began teaching guitar. I have taught teenagers, elementary students, and a retiree. I am a Youth Pastor and currently play guitar in the main, children, and youth services at my local church. I also plan and oversee the worship in the youth services. *** Lesson Details *** I believe in a focused, fun, and flexible teaching style. Focused- I believe in teaching the foundational rules of music, so that the student will be able to continue learning the rest of his/her life. Fun- I believe in teaching songs and riffs. If a student doesn't have a reason to play he/she will become discouraged. Flexible- I want to meet your needs. If you want to play just for fun, I can help you. If you are a homeschool parent looking to use music lessons as credit, I can help you. I will teach material as fast or as slow as you need. Standard Curriculum: 1. Alfred's Basic Guitar Method 2. CAGED System- For Learning Chords and Theory 3. Level Appropriate Songbook of Your Choice *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons in living room.
