I'm looking for students who are interested in learning classical/Spanish guitar and developing in them the same passion I have for the guitar and music. I studied guitar at Univ. of Texas-El Paso and have been playing and teaching professionally for over 40 years. My goal in teaching beginners is to help you find your own style and to insure that you are familiar with the fundamentals of technique and theory.

 For the more advanced student I'm looking for dedicated students who are interested in honing their skills and working on whatever particular piece of music they might be interested in learning. 

For all students interested, I host occasional meetings of the Hollywood Classical Guitar Society and give the students a chance to perform in front of an audience.

I have over 30 years experience teaching, performing and recording classical and Spanish guitar. I offer my students a systematic approach for gradual musical and technical development toward mastery of the guitar. Every student brings their own unique personality, natural ability and desire to learn the instrument and my goal is help them realize their full potential and have fun doing it!

For the intermediate student my approach is to find music the student is interested in and work through those pieces with concentration on technique and performance.

Mr. Vernon is so patient and knows how to bring out the best. I enjoyed every lesson and plan on resuming this summer.
