About Michael P.
Hello! My name is Michael. I am currently a graduate student at UNT studying Jazz Performance. I play the saxophone, and have done so for 12 years. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming in Saxophone Performance. While I pursued my undergrad degree, I was the principal saxophonist in the University of Wyoming Wind Symphony from 2015-2016, I played lead tenor for the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble from 2014-2017, and was a finalist in the UW Dorthy Jacoby Concerto Competition. Since arriving at UNT, I have played lead tenor with the 2 O'Clock lab band for two semesters, as well variety bands in the DFW area.
