Guitar with Michael M.

Hello! I'm Mr. Michael! I provide piano, guitar, drum, and ukulele lessons to students in DFW and virtually. Typically I drive to students’ homes and teach while families go about their lives. I prefer giving lessons under two approaches to teaching. The first approach is more structured, using Faber method books with a designated regimen for students to follow and practice. The second approach is more lighthearted and focused on a student’s goals. This would allow us to start working on a song of their choice from the start of their first lesson. In turn, students become focused and motivated, seeing what could be accomplished in a short time, even if theory and scales are pushed away momentarily. I have even come up with ways for students to learn new chords and progressions, quickly. This can be done by having students use numbered sequences to help learn chords. I'm excited to help all ages of students achieve their goals in music. I believe everyone can put in some work and appreciate music to the fullest.
