I'm an easy-going guy from Liverpool, England, lived in Massachusetts for 20 years. Music and creativity have brought me so much comfort and Joy, I'd like to help others add this to their lives. I create custom lessons and play along videos and playlists for your at home practice time. This encourages motivation and engagement much more than generic songs or nursery rhymes etc. which hold little interest to most students. We will work on simple music theory and the major scale, the backbone of Popular Music. I have distilled this information into cheat sheets and Hacks allowing a musician to not only play along to songs without having to learn them in advance, but also write in real time. When writing original music and collaborating with other artists is a relaxing, stress-free experience, we all benefit. Whether you are looking to improve at your relaxing hobby, write original music, or collaborate with other musicians, knowledge is power! Good technique, and basic music theory makes song writing, aural perception (playing along to songs you haven't learned), improvisation and collaboration with other musicians, much easier and more fulfilling. Specializing in Fingerstyle Guitar Technique, Music Theory Hacks, and Bass playing. The most effective way to learn and improve is by going at your own pace. Remember, it's all about reps, practice, practice, practice! For this reason, the rate at which we improve is based on the amount of time we are able to put in. We all have busy lives and schedules, so we will work on each step for as much or as little time as is needed. A good target is 2 to 3 hours a week practicing. This is 15 minutes a day during the week, and extra during the weekend. The best way of achieving this is to stick to a schedule. Every morning before work/school, or every day after work/school, perhaps right before bed etc. Sticking to a schedule not only promotes discipline, but also quickly becomes something you really look forward to.
