I was selected from a field of hopefuls to be employed as a young artist. Involved with the job was performing outreach and singing for young and old, from large stages to living rooms. In addition to spreading the word, we were the fundraising arm of the company entertaining donors at private parties. We were also cast in the mainstage opera The Merry Widow.

Churches with strong music programs often employ local singers to bolster the ranks of their singers. I was hired right out of high school to be a section leader for their premier choirs.
