Experience
Vocalist
Jan, 2013 - PresentMichael Calve
In January 2013 I found my voice in a hotel in Dallas, TX. During that fateful night it occurred to me that the fear of expressing myself was holding me back from singing. After listening to "Tea for One", originally a Led Zeppelin song (or so we're made to believe ;)), by Joe Bonamassa a feeling of power came over me as I hit the powerful notes in the song. Now I enjoy singing while playing piano or guitar or whether I'm on stage performing with my sister's band the Lauren Calve Band. It is truly the most expressive art form that I have seen and I would love to help guide you through postures and techniques to help you discover your own voice.

Bassist
Jun, 2003 - PresentMichael Calve
I have grown up playing funk, reggae, rock, punk, metal, you name it on Bass Guitar. It is my desire to share my skills and knowledge with people that want to pick up the instrument. Playing bass has allowed me to play at venues like 9:30 Club and with many famous musicians including Junior Marvin from Bob Marley & the Wailers. If I hadn't been encouraged and taken lessons growing up I wouldn't be where I am today. Maturing in to a pocket bass player has shown me a lot about myself and I plan to continue to hold down the groove for the rest of my life.
Guitarist
Apr, 2003 - PresentMichael Calve
Since 7th grade I have been playing electric and acoustic guitar. My Mom had a classical guitar in the living room and the soft nylon strings always called to my fingers. I took classes at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA and from there I took my skills to local bands. Now I have played on stage and at local jams. I enjoy learning and teaching chords, theory, and soloing/improvisation to those wanting to improve their rhythm and unique voice on the instrument.
