    About Mercedes V.

    Hello! My name is Mercedes and I love teaching music! I have been a musician for over 20 years and a music teacher for almost a decade! I currently have seven private students in my studio but am looking for more! I teach violin, viola, and piano out of my home studio which includes: an upright and two digital pianos and Garage Band and Sibelius music software. A little more about me...I hold a bachelors degree in music education from MSUDenver. My teaching experience includes one year in Denver Public Schools and three years teaching band and orchestra for Springboard After School in Highlands Ranch. I am currently a guest teacher in Adams 12 Five-Star Public Schools. When I am not busy teaching music, I am playing violin in a local gothic-rock band called Wither Without and Wither Without Orchestra. What do I do for fun? Besides music? My husband and fellow music teacher and I are avid outdoorsmen who enjoy backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, and simply being in nature! I look forward to sharing my passion and love for music and teaching with you!
