    About Maurice T.

Where do I begin? I've been playing trombone for about 20 years, more than a decade professionally. I studied jazz trombone as well as music education at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, earning a BM double-degree. During my tenure I studied with Ray Charles alumnus Marc Fields, and Tim Anderson, director of the award-winning CCM trombone choir. I played everything from funk, rock, to salsa. I moved back to NY afterwards and earned an MBA, and started work in arts administration - all the while still gigging with some of the top bands on the scene. I am finally in a place where I am settled enough that I can share some of my experience, and help groom the next generation of brass players!

Hm, I play most popular styles. I've opened for everyone from Streetlight Manifesto to Journey to Umphrey's McGee to Robert Randolph & the Family Band. I'm not a bad arranger either.
