    Learn Tai Chi Chuan and QiGong: Journey With a 30 Year Master - Discover the Spark of Radiant Health

    I invite you to explore this ancient and mysterious art form with me as your guide. On this journey you will develop a solid foundation for the practice of Tai Chi Chuan. This includes the traditional Tai Chi forms as well as silk reeling, qi gong exercises and drills to strengthen your practice. I will teach you the basic forms, techniques and movement principles of Tai Chi. As your guide, I will help you explore essence of the art form, how to practice, and how to apply its philosophy to your life. Tai Chi can help you become stronger and healthier physically and more focused and balanced mentally. I welcome all levels of experience and work with students to achieve their goals: whether you are a beginner looking to start your Tai Chi journey, or a seasoned practitioner looking to deepen your practice.

    About Matthew M.

    I have been practicing Tai Chi since I was a child. My mother was a direct disciple of the Yang style grand master Cheng Man Ching; she was my first Tai Chi teacher . Even though I didn’t know it at that time, it was the best gift she had ever given me. Without realizing it, I started a lifelong journey spanning martial arts, Yoga, and Zen meditation. I want to teach and share what I’ve learned from four decades of practice. I hope to empower my students with Tai Chi in the same way that it has enriched my life. Whether you are new to Tai Chi and just exploring or a Tai Chi veteran of many years, welcome! I wish to help you learn, practice, and integrate Tai Chi into your life. We’re all on the same journey for radiant health and longevity. The Tai Chi practice offers so many benefits it would take an entire blog to list them all. And with every practice, one posture at a time, together, we can slowly illuminate the teachings of the ancient sages.
