Matt’s musical background draws from a broad variety of genres, specializing in jazz, rock, and electronic music. While earning a bachelors degree in Music Technology from Georgia State University, Matt studied jazz guitar under Dave Frackenpohl as well audio technology and composition under Dr. Robert Thompson. While teaching my first lesson years ago, I realized the enjoyment I receive from spreading the musical knowledge I have accrued over the years. Whether my students are interested in guitar, composition, or studio procedures, I seek to give them the musical language, technical knowledge, and resources they need to realize their musical endeavors. My main goal in music education is to enable students to play and create the music that they enjoy and excites them. Whether you want to learn your favorite song on guitar, new electronic sound design techniques, or standard procedures and techniques for recording and mixing audio, I want to help you achieve your musical goals!
