Piano with Marlene M.

I'm a professional pianist with my master's degree in piano performance from NYU. I'm also one half of an acoustic duo, where I write songs, play piano, and sing. While I specialize in classical music, I enjoy teaching many genres, including jazz, pop, rock, and country. I also have extensive training in helping pianists who have injuries, who are struggling with tension, or lack coordination in their playing. I've been working with students from age 4-99 for over five years, and have taught complete beginners as well as budding professional pianists. Each student usually has a specific goal in mind and it's my job to get to the heart of what that goal is. I customize each lesson and give detailed guidance for at home practice so that my students are consistently working toward their goals. I believe that studying music should be a fun and rewarding experience no matter the age or experience level of the student!
