I have been playing since I was 4 years old and have been loving every minute of it. I have been fortunate to play and tour with many groups here in the US and in Europe. Over the years I have really enjoyed passing on my knowledge and love of music making to others. I would be honored if you gave me the opportunity to help your or your family achieve their musical dreams. *** Lesson Details *** First and foremost I am very laid back and that helps my students relax into the process of making great music. Expect your first lesson to be about getting to know each other and getting a firm idea of what your expectations are. Everyone learns at a different pace and has changing interests. Within the framework of moving you towards your musical goals I create custom goals and lessons for my students. What does that mean? Well, you can pick out some of your own music, customize the way you practice, decide when you want to move forward with more challenging music and many other things. I do expect my students to learn several pieces of music at a time and perform so you can share your music. That's what it is all about after all! *** Studio Equipment *** Music room with seating for parents. *** Travel Equipment *** None, all students require an instrument to practice on. *** Specialties *** Electric violin Classical solo Orchestral audition prep Suzuki

Mark has been very flexible in scheduling and very patient in explaining theory. As an adult new to violin I think he has been great in terms of explaining new concepts and being incredibly encouraging. He is also patient and realistic in his expectations of students. Greatly recommend.
Mark was very knowledgeable, funny, and patient, he really cares about his students. I’m glad that he Was referred to me by take lessons. Honor V.Lewis
I came to Mark with utterly no background in the violin, wanting to start as an adult learner, and I can't imagine a better teacher than Mark. Mark is helping me gain crucial fundamentals while also learning fun pieces to strengthen those elements and encouraging me to select pieces, too. I also like that he incorporates some music theory into his lessons. Finally, I feel like becoming a violinist now, as an adult, isn't as crazy as I worried it might be since I have Mark to teach me.
