very patient and communicates very well. takes notes to go over things that need improvement and explains why so you get the big picture

I took several singing lessons with Marissa this summer and had so much fun! My goals were to better understand important aspects of using your voice as an instrument- gaining better control and breathing techniques. I learned a lot and gained confidence in my singing. I would love to take lessons with Marissa again in the future!

Amazing first class. I felt comfortable, even with my fear of singing in front of others. Marissa is super sweet & I am excited for our next class

Lessons are my favorite part of quarantine. Marissa has such a warm and welcoming personality that has encouraged me to keep working towards my goals.

I studied with Marissa for two years when we both lived in the same area she moved and I went off to college. She is such a positive, kind and hard-working teacher. On the rare occasion that she doesn't know something, she does her homework and comes back with a novel of information. If I was ever unsure about a concept and none of her (many) techniques worked, she would always heavily research before the next lesson. She was always great at communicating with her students and goes above and beyond. She has a great reputation and was able to help me get into my dream college. My voice teacher here is very impressed with what I have learned from her.

I’ve been taking lessons with Marissa for the past two years and she has influenced me tremendously as a musician and an artist. I recommend her to anybody!

My daughter loves Marissa... I cannot recommend her enough!

Marissa is a phenomenal teacher. She knows everything, but on the rare chance she doesn't, she does her homework. She is also a stellar communicator and invests so much in her students. I feel lucky to have her on my team.

I look forward to my lesson every week. She is an excellent teacher and a truly invaluable resource of information.

Marissa is highly knowledgeable about solo voice literature and helped me learn so much about not only voice, but also the different styles. She is also really organized and gave me all of the resources I needed to be successful in our lessons and outside of lessons.

I've been taking online lessons with Marissa during isolation to work on my cross-over techniques. I have sung musical theater for the past four years and wanted to work on classical singing. Marissa is the best.

Marissa has helped me make great progress in just a few lessons. She is very approachable while also being incredibly knowledgeable. I've always struggled with my voice, but I feel so much more confident now.

I am currently working with Marissa to improve my vocal range and ability. Singing is simply a hobby for me, but I am in my church choir. Marissa has been assisting me in not only technique but also showing me the relationship between my choir singing and solo pieces. She is also very kind, organized, and never speaks "above" me.

I needed help polishing up some music for an audition, and Marissa was great. Very kind, helpful, and reassuring, and because of her help I was able to have a much better audition. She really is very knowledgeable about both solo and choral singing.
