I am a professional singer who graduated as a Master vocal performer from the Universiy of Miami. I am happily married and my wife and I just moved to Lakeland from the hot Miami beaches!
I specialize in theatre music and am also passionate about a variety of styles ranging from pop to classical.
Whatever the genre, I will help you develop a technique that is tailored to you perfectly!
I sing a lot and am currently singing as one of the opera Tampa Singers at the Straz center in Tampa.
I love teaching and especially performing! But to get that singing gig it's all about the audition, and I've been there. So if you want to know how to score one with the judges during an audition, I'm your guy!
I have a passion for teaching and find finding a vocal technique that is just right with every single student!
Last year I taught voice and piano lessons at two different schools in Miami Florida, Florida Christian school and Miami Fine Arts academy. Both schools had wonderful students with great talent and after a year of study with me Every student was confident and excited to perform to show off their new musical prowess!
Ive also been teaching piano for several years and boy do I have a passion for this instrument. No other instrument can really compare to the music a piano can make in my opinion.
Nothing really beats the feeling of accomplishment you get once you've mastered a piano piece!
I love to meet other music lovers and cultivate a comfortable learning environment fit for musical growth! Let's do some work!
I found Mario to be a very knowledgeable instructor. He seemed extremely energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about the lesson. He listened to all the concerns I had about singing and really worked with me to begin the process of moving forward and singing with confidence. I appreciated how we didn't just stick with one style of music. He had me choose music from different genres. I would recommend him to anyone interested in singing. I meant to give him 5 stars in the previous review. I accidentally bumped one down. My apologies!!!+ Read More

Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, passionate, and himself very talented, Mario is an outstanding voice teacher. What might be his best trait, however, is his belief in the capabilities of his students. Using a kind but gentle teaching style, he pushes students to develop their voices and become the better singers they want to be. Working with him, I improved immensely, and was sorry that his move meant he would no longer be my teacher. I am delighted, however, that others will get an opportunity to learn from him! Sign up--you won't regret it!+ Read More

As an owner of a successful music school, Miami Fine Arts Academy, in South Florida serving over 600 families with quality music education, I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mario Almonte since August 31, 2016. Mario is extremely professional, dedicated, and caring teacher. He has an uncanny ability to make students comfortable from the very first class, and such ability is especially important in vocal coaching as students have to be comfortable with the teacher to sing. Great personality and charisma are essential in a effective music teacher, and Mario's got it! Mr. Almonte is always willing to share his amazing vocal talent by participating in student/faculty recitals, and he is as equally involved in his performing career. On November 5, 2016, Mr. Almonte joined our Academy at prestigious Carnegie Hall, NY for our Student/Faculty Debut Recital, in which he assisted his piano & vocal students in their performances, and delighted us with his own debut performance. I enthusiastically endorse his candidacy as a great vocal/piano teacher, and would entrust my own daughter to Mr. Almonte if he continued to live in Miami and teach at our school.+ Read More
