Classical Piano with Marina V.

Music has been my passion since childhood. I started playing from age 5 and performing at 8. My Mom is a piano teacher too, and at 75 she's still teaching! I was born in Moscow, Russia, and moved to Estonia when I was 15. I graduated with BA from Estonian Academy of Music in 2002, and was awarded a full scholarship to study at Indiana University. I have MM and Artist Diploma (a performance based certificate) from Indiana University, and DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) from the University of Minnesota. I taught class and individual piano, ear training, keyboard harmony, and other classes at both Indiana University and University of Minnesota. I got married and moved to Chicago area in 2011, and was teaching at New Music School, Solo Classic and Family Piano, as well as having my own studio. We moved to Florida in November 2021. I'm also an accomplished visual and jewelry artist, participating in fine art shows since 2012. I've been also singing in professional choirs and small vocal ensembles since 2015. I have taught hundreds of students, ages 4 to 75, and recently focused on private lessons. Every student is unique, and I have individual approach, targeting the particular student needs. I teach mostly classical music, but can help with improvisation skills, jazz and lead sheets.
