There are many ways to learn and get better at flute. Together we will find the way that works best for you. I have designed a plan in which you can choose step by step. You will have 3 options for each goal  a) Tradicional school b) Actvice learning c) combining both.
 You will improve your playing , learn your favorite pieces, and share them with your friends and family in no time.

With the traditional approach  we will follow Taffanel et Gaubert method  to get familiar with the notes, music reading, scales,  arpeggios and sound, and we will apply all this to repertoire that we will chose according to your level and preferences.
With the  Active Learning approach we will first develop the senses and skills we need to play  the flute, and use alternative ways to get familiar with solfege,  then we will  Apply those to the repertoire.  (i.e breathing exercises,  games with making the sound in bottles, doing excercises to learning the notes.)
We can also combine both methods to get the best of each one of them.

I am a professional Flute player. I play Piccolo and Flute in Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Johnstown PA. 
I studied in  Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín(Colombia),  Conservatoir Royal de Mons, Mons ( Belgium),  Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, Paris (France) and  Duquesne University, Pittsburgh (USA).  

I like using different educational approaches so that students can try all of them and decide which one workd best for them. 
Learning music is fun and really good to develop other skills. It is great for all ages and can improve many aspects of your life.
