I am a violist/violinist in the Long Island, New York area! I have been studying the violin and viola for over 10 years. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York!
Although I may be young, I have a lot of experience within the orchestral music field. While in high school, I was the principal violist of the Gemini Youth Symphony Orchestra, Nassau Community College Orchestra, co-principal viola of the Long Island String Festival Association, concert master of my high schools’s Honors String Ensemble and the Founder/Director of a high school string ensemble! Additionally, I was the President of my high schools Tri-M (Music National Honors Society).
During the weekdays, I am a music student and a member of the Queens College Symphony Orchestra. Since I am a full time student, I have devoted my weekends to what I love most, teaching! I have been teaching since 2015 when I was an intern and now I take on 20+ per week! I work with my students closely in building a strong foundation in musical knowledge! I have prepared students for auditions, recitals, and NYSSMA festivals!
-Teaching students of all ages the fundamentals of playing instruments.
-Preparing students for NYSSMA and other auditions with solos, scales, and sight readings, and etudes.
-Instructing individual & group music lessons for performance preparation.
-Assisting teachers with daily activities to allow classes to run efficiently.
After taking lesson with Marcus my daughter has improved tremendously. She comes out of each lesson with a smile on her face determined to work on the next part in her music. He’s wonderful!
