Acoustic Guitar with Marc M.

I grew up as a rock guitarist. I was all about shredding. My idols included Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, and many more. These guys are still my idols. I was all about technique and playing fast, but found out my playing was lacking in other areas. I started to get passionate about blues, which led to jazz, and even R&B. I went to Berklee College of Music where I studied jazz with some icons including George Garzone, Hal Crook, and Mick Goodrick. But I was still playing in pop bands, Rock bands, playing jazz gigs, I literally did anything that came my way. After graduating I found my self on a nation rock tour going all over the country. When I got back I was still playing jazz gigs around Boston and playing for sessions. All the techniques I use to help me with my playing are what I strive for when I teach students.
