Originally from Hong Kong, I now live and work in Sunnyvale, CA as a teacher, a pianist, and an active choir member.
Beginning studying piano at the age of 6, I hold a Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I have performed as a pianist in recitals, as a collaborative pianist with singers and instrumentalists, and as a singer in choruses.
I have 7+ years of teaching experience for children and adults across the Bay Area. I offer a curriculum customized for each student depending on their needs and interests, composed of note reading, ear training, piano technique, music theory, performance skills, and standard piano repertoire.
I believe that all students have a seed of ability, which can grow into talent and accomplishment that can be very rewarding and even superior. While some students may learn faster than others, I am concerned with individual feelings of accomplishment. I also aid students not just in musical ability, but also in their personal growth by learning to use music to create happier and more fulfilling lives.
