About Madison W.
I have studied music for 15 years and been teaching for 6 years. I have experience in teaching various skills such as voice, guitar, piano, ukulele, and many other instruments/skillsets to a wide range of ages and personalities. I studied Music Theory and Ear Training at Lone Star College in Tomball, TX and studied traditional and non-traditional voice for 12+ years prior. With guitar, piano and other instruments, I am partially, but not entirely, self-taught. I credit books, videos, and musicians that have given me secrets and tricks. I am fulfilled by witnessing growth in my students, and love the "Ah-HA!" moments. My approach is based on the student's learning patterns and interests, and tailor my lessons to each individual student. My main musical building blocks are 1)Rhythm is the most important element of music. 2)Understanding the importance of persistence, practice, and patience with any skill and technique. 3)Energy can be manufactured and put it into musical expression.
