Lucy K. is an active flutist and teacher in the Atlanta area. She is a member of the Marietta Pops Orchestra, MPO Woodwind Quintet, Jubilate Flute Quartet and The Flute Choir of Atlanta. Ms. K. has toured internationally with the International Flute Orchestra, recorded with the National Flute Choir, Flute Choir of Atlanta and the National Lydia Fellowship Worship Team. She has been selected to play in the National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir. Ms. K. is currently a flute clinician at several local schools. *** Lesson Details *** Lucy welcomes students of all ages and levels to her studio. Her desire is to instill a love of music in each student and to help each one reach his or her full potential. Lucy provides a positive and encouraging environment to bring out the best in each student musically while taking into account their different learning styles. She also offers annual flute recitals to give students the opportunity to perform solos, as well as in duets, trios, quartets and a flute choir. Lessons are usually 30 minutes but 45 or 60 minutes lessons are available as well. My daughter has taken from Lucy for a couple of months on the recommendation of her middle and high school band directors. Her confidence and sound quality have greatly improved. Lucy is a patient and kind teacher, but pushes my daughter to do her bast.

While our daughter has been taking private flute lessons for 5 years, she just started private lessons with Lucy this year. Her progress has been tremendous. Lucy has helped her improve her technique, sight reading, and overall playing quality. We highly recommend her.
