I play bass and sing harmony in a professional rock band based out of Brooklyn. We have been playing together since 2016 and have done two national tours coast to coast across the United States. We have released seven music videos and three albums (currently working on our fourth). I graduated from Vassar College in 2020, where I was principal bassist in the orchestra. In college I lead three different jazz combos, played in the pit orchestras of eleven theatre productions, played in various string chamber groups, and taught electric bass to college age students. Most of my musical training is classical. Before picking up bass guitar six years ago, I played upright classical bass for eight years. In high school I had sessions with middle schoolers after school to help them improve their sight reading skills and technique on upright bass. I also founded a ukulele club in high school, where I taught other students to play and planned performances. I am a proficient ukulele player, and can teach basic keyboard, especially to young children. I have experience working with children at summer camps and babysitting. As a bass player, I know just how crucial rhythm is when it comes to playing music. Ukulele is a great instrument to break into song writing. I am happy working with students who have a range of musical interests and starting points. I can help you learn to read music, play your favorite song, perfect a sonata, sing and play at the same time, or write a punchy bass line. I look forward to meeting you!
