Aloha! My name is Lucas and I would love to help you learn to play the ukulele! Legendary musician Jake Shimabukuro once said that the ukulele is "the instrument of peace." I certainly agree, and that is why I want so much to teach others to play it. I have been playing the uke for over 5 years now with experience in bands and as a solo performer. I am only just beginning my teaching career, but I have been an amateur teacher of guitar and ukulele for 4 years now. I've taught my brother and his fiancée to play songs together. I've taught my father to play full songs despite his belief that he was "too old" for new tricks. I've taught my best friend's wife to sing Ingrid Michaelson's "You and I" on ukulele for their anniversary. And those are just a few notables. I am not your average music teacher. I will guide you to discover how you communicate your being in musical terms. My lessons offer a range of auditory, visual, and hands-on methods to help you determine how you best progress.
