I am a professional jazz/contemporary pianist from Illinois. I graduated Eastern Illinois University with a degree in jazz piano performance. I am newly married and live on the east side of Bloomington, Indiana. I have about nine years of experience teaching private music lessons in both drums and piano. Students can expect an energetic and helpful lesson experience. They can also expect significant improvement and a newfound excitement about their instrument every week. I care deeply about my music and any students that come to me looking for improvement. Currently, I am working to earn a masters in Jazz Studies from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. I have daily classes and rehearsals, but I have enough free time in between classes for to arrange morning and afternoon lessons. I am passionate about all styles of music but I am particularly excited to teach jazz and contemporary music. I find it extremely easy and enjoyable to relate to people of all ages and I believe it is extremely important and beneficial to teach each individual differently according to his or her particular personality and learning style.
