Drums with Louis S.

I am a professional musician, who plays Drum set amongst other percussion instruments. I graduated from The New School of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance, specifically Drum set. Drum students can expect weekly progress in their technique. Every drummer has their own unique sound; I teach students on how to develop that sound and translate that sound to music. I teach technique, groove, creativity, and expression. I teach drum students of all different ages and experience levels. I've studied the the instrument for 23 years. I can teach students how to read and compose. As a professional musician I've been able to work and travel the world on the for the last six years. I have held the drum chair for young musicians like Morgan Guerin as well as Immanuel Wilkins. I've also had the opportunity to play with older musicians such as Billy Harper. I love to mentor students who want to become effective and dynamic musicians. My personal passion is to help young musicians grow as artist and human beings. I look forward to meeting you and helping you grow as a musician!
