Hello! I've been playing guitar for over 12 years, have taught guitar as Director of Music for several summers at a Washington summer camp, and have written and released multiple bodies of work including an album, both solo and with my band. My method of teaching guitar is simple, fun, and is focused around learning whatever songs are most exciting to YOU (so that you get addicted to picking up your guitar and playing it every time you pass it)! We'll break down what makes up your favorite songs... chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking patterns, tunings, licks, etc... and once we tackle the music that is most familiar to you, we'll take that new knowledge and learn whatever else you want. Whether you just want to learn how to cover the hits with ease or want to write your own music with confidence, we'll make the process a blast!
